FORNICATORS - Ban Public Affection (Alcoholic Records)

This is the best this year,no bullshit,if your into punk go get your hands, On this. Got this passed to me at a gig,not sure what I was buying, but a risk I Took. Fluke or just good judgement, and I found a jem. If you like rancid you will love this, its got rancid written All over it,but rancid aint got shit on these guys. Im not slagging rancid here because tim.lars and the boys Are a top punk band, and are sat at the top of the punk Rock tree, and I love em. But hand on heart the fornicators I hope become a rancid Band too,sat at the top of the tree. These guys are from Sweden, and Sweden has produced some Excellent punk over the years,no fun at all, voice of a generation spring to mind. What the fuck is it with Sweden, how come there succesfull with punk, Over the last 5 years a good 20 top punk bands have been born And are good at what hey do punk. This band the fornicators have the makings of a top band. 3 young guys strutting there punk give off a sound thatís mature, and fresh. Not one bad track, just a cd full of energy,in the vien of lars and the bastards And the mighty rancid. Excellent guitar work, with a punk rock edge, very cool but fresh vocals, and crystal clear Melodies very new and a band to watch out for. Expect more,,,,,,,,,,,,,

FORNICATORS - All Punx Are Pirates (From the band)

website email

4 track c.d. single from a band I know absolutely nothing about apart from this is some of the weirdest mixes of styles Iíve ever heard. The first track is straight forward punk but when the second song starts I thought someone had changed the c.d. Iím not sure what the style of music is called but itís the kind of thing Paul Simon did when he did that Gracelands album with all the African musicians that turns into loud snotty punk for the choruses, strange!! Next up a song that could be Rocket from the Crypt (without the brass) and the c.d. finishes with a song that tries to mix ska/reggae with 50ís style rock n roll and punk!! Not something Iíd buy or know where to get hold of it for that matter, anyway if you need more info go to www.thefornicators.net or email thefornicators@hotmail.com
