Please give a brief history of the band, including current line up.
I formed the band in 1979/80 and we were together until
late 1984, we then re,formed as a new band with new material in 1996, the
current line up is Hocky/vocals, Tabby/guitar, Dave/bass, Allan/drums.

More releases to follow. We also recorded an album in 1984 called Nicely does
it. (Which was never released)
Which has been the best bit in the bands' years together
and why?
We had some good times in the 80s it was really lively,
but I enjoyed the Newcastle gatherings in 1998, there was a good atmosphere.
I'm sure though that there are going to be some good times ahead.
HOCKY..preferred it more when first going in the 80s.
Have you toured abroad, if so, what was the reaction like
and how did the audience differ to UK audiences?
No we haven't been abroad yet although the offers have
been coming in, so as soon as we can sort things out we'll hit the continent
running. Our records are selling really well in many parts of the world.
What is the favourite song (and what band is it by) of each
member of the band?
There are so many songs that I like but I'd probably say
that Demolition dancing by the Ruts is one of my favourites .
HOCKY..favourite , Die for you're government by Anti-flag, but it will probably
change next week.
Describe punk at the beginning of the 21st century.
Its not really as good as it should be, there are a lot
of bands out there gigging and not getting decent crowds, people only seem
to be turning out in decent numbers for the U.S. bands who are getting all
the airplay and press attention. Maybe the U.K. bands need to give a little
more to get noticed ! and get the attention we deserve.
What is the best sentence you have ever heard, that someone
has managed to get into a song's lyrics?
I don't know there's so many, I tend to concentrate on
my own lyrics more than notice others.
HOCKY....Raise the voice cos no ones gonna listen to you when you're dead,
Bad Religion.
Do you still go and see other punk/oi bands when they play
in your area? If so, what was the last band you saw and were they any good?
I mainly get to see the bands that are on when we play.
HOCKY.....I always see local bands last one 0898.
Plans, gigs and releases planned for 2000.
The future plans will hopefully see us being really really
busy, lots of U.K. gigs leading up to Morecambe in July, a few more singles
released then the recording of our next album some time Sept/Oct for release
in 2001. It looks more like us playing abroad next year because we're just
too busy to do anything this year.
Any final comments?
Thanks for sending the questions and you're continued
support for the band, hopefully we can keep on delivering the goods, and
I hope as many people as possible get so see us live and listen to the album
Death of a century, it's really not that bad! And also check out the new website.
(One other thing our U.K. distributer is Plastic Head and that
our records should be available in the independant shops but if you
have problems you can get them direct from us.)
