Please give a brief history of the band, including current line up.
Formed in 1977 in South East London, signed
to Decca Records in 1980 and released first single 2 ints of Lager. After
various deaths and jail sentences, settled with current line up in 1992.

What is the funniest thing that has happened
to you whilst touring?
There was an awful smell coming from one of our hotel
rooms in Newcastle,
when the manager of the hotel opened the door we found our old sax player Hoagie
had
doused himself in petrol and set fire to himself in the bath. The hotel manager
threw up,
then had a heart attack at the sight of the frizzled corpse, oh how we laughed.

Mat has 3 jacobs
Johnny Chunders once crashed a car into a performing group of morris dancers
seriously
injuring 4 and paralysing the one with the feather duster.
Harry monk once performed "oh for the wings of a dove" on junior
showtime and is now often
seen pushing a condom up his nose and pulling it out the back of his throat.
(often a used one)
