Please give a brief history of the band, including current line up.
The current line up is me ( stephanie snakebite and black
with a straw please thankyou very much), singing, kate on guitar, Gen on
bass and Tuesday practise our pimp straight outta Kiss on drums. Kate and
Gen have known each other since 1999 and started jamming together in 001/2002
under the name of 'The Gusset Typists and the Fanny Farts. I met them in
March 2002
'cos I moved from London to Bournemouth, and when we all got pissed one night
and they found out I had a loud mouth, swore alot and could sing attrociously,
we decided to form Spitroast. We had our first drummer 'Pip' who was kicked
out another local band called HFM for being unreliable. We consequently found
this out and and kicked him out too for being a cunt. Then our current pimp
drummer, who owned the studio where we practise, volunteered to help us out
for the UK Subs gig in Jan 2003 and 'cos he got such a good view of our arses
decided to stay with us.

Our debut album 'Missed location, Misallocation, Missile
location' is coming out in July/Aug 2003.
As a band at Punk Aid, the band certainly grabbed attention
with a much hardcore sound than the other female fronted bands who played
the weekend. Musically which bands are your influence, and can you think
of any other female singers that sing in your vein?
Steph: Chaotic Dischord, GG Allin, Chaos UK, Exploited,
Disorder, Total Chaos, Broken Bones, Oi Polloi, Motorhead, Varukers, Virus,
Conflict and MDC.
Kate: Special Duties, Dead kennedys, Motorhead, Subhumans, Oi Polloi, UK Subs,
The Addicts and PTTB.
Gen: The Addicts, Subhumans, The Demonic Upchucks, Minor Threat, Exploited
and Dead Kennedys.
Tuesday Practise: Marc Bolan, David Bowie, Neil Peart, Queen, Guns and Roses,
Steve Vai and Joe Satriani.....
..and I can't think of any singers that I sound like 'cos I don't like the
sound of women's voices. I try to make mine sound like a man's. I love the
way Mower sings.
Has any band member played in other bands, if so what?
Kate used to play guitar in a band called Agent Orange
( not the famous one) and another band she can't remember the name of, but
they got thrown off stage halfway through the set in a biker's pub 'cos the
audience were cunts! Tuesday practise ( aka Graham) fronts another band called
Mandragara and they play heavy rock.
If you could see any band play live, either of the past or
present who would it be?
GG Allin, Hendrix, Sex Pistols and The Misfits (original
line up).
What is the best gig Spitroast have ever done and who else was on the line-up?

What is the Punk/Oi scene like in your area?
Getting pretty good! Loadsa new talent starting- millitant
suicide bomber baby punks in the making. Was mint in the early eighties when
Self Abuse were around. Now Jarvis (old guitarist from Self Abuse) and The
Demonic Upchucks kicked off the scene five years ago and now there's alot
of
bands playing regularly with a good bunch of millitants coming to the gigs.
Do politics and music go together?
Any cunt can write a song about love, politics and all
that shite. For us Punk rock is about Attitude, Energy and Fuck the establishment.
As long as the cunts at the top oppress us with their domineering, selfish,
policies, laws and rules, irrespective of our opinions, they shall continue
to be our enemies and we'll continue to write songs, encourage a revolution
and bring the bastards down. Ignorant cunts!

We do about one gig every two months in Bournemouth which are normally well
advertised.
Any final comments?
Shag lots, be millitant and hate everyone who tries to
govern you in any way shape or form. Show our kids the way ( not to be fashion
victims). Poser punks 'FUCK OFF!'. Drink lots of snakebite and black with
a straw. It gets you fucked! It's not how much you drink, it's how fast you
drink!
Infiltrate the System. Our only fear is that there's a revolution and were
not part of it.
