Live reviews:
I finally got to see an amazing band from the Portsmouth area- Red Letter Day.
Suffice to say, voxman Ade and his powerful band managed to inject a spark
of life into the usually lethargic early punters at the Underworld. Pulped.
The band come on like a crack SAS unit; tight, focused and unstoppable! Venue.

Describe your sound and the main themes to your lyrics.
Punky with no rules or barriers. Lyrics range from personal
experiences to news items.
What is the best gig Red Letter Day have ever done and who
else was on the line-up?
Possibly the Portsmouth Music Festival on Southsea Common
in August 1995. Also featuring Buzzcocks and Swervedriver. We went on just
before the headlining Buzzcocks.
What is the best sentence you have ever heard, that someone
has managed to get into a song's lyrics?
Off the top of my head "you've got the passion of an empty
mansion" from Blood Runs Cold by Lords Of The New Church.
What is the favourite song (and what band is it by) of each
member of the band?
Can't speak for the others coz I want to get this to you
ASAP but mine's probably a little known UK Subs song called War Of The Roses.
What was the last band you went to see and were they any
good?
Damage Manual the band featuring Jah Wobble amongst others.
Their over the top loudness detracted from the good stuff they may have been
doing.
Describe punk at the beginning of the 21st century.
Healthy and fresh with loads of variety.
Plans, gigs and releases planned for 99.
